Today was felt uneventful, but I got a lot done. I am trying to recover from being sick this weekend, with the stomach virus. It's not fun to sit on the couch all weekend, when you have a month old laying around with you and a 2 year old runing around. Daniel was so sweet, he let me sleep in on Saturday and made breakfast and cleaned the kitchen. Today we did clean our apartment. It is always so nice to have a clean house!!
Deidra came over and we talked about Camp Conquer; it's getting to be that time of year again. We are gearing up, looking for kids and volunteers and trying to make it better than last year. Every year we strive to make camp run smoother and reach out to more families. Last year was our first year to have an article written about camp in the Dallas Morning News. This year the same reporter is going to see if she can't run an article before camp to let everyone know it is coming up soon. Deidra said we have 15 kids signed up for camp so far, and it isn't until May. These last couple of years we didn't started getting applications until the month before or the month of camp.
Titus said Benjamin clearly for the first time. It was so awesome, but he didn't say it again. The last couple of days he has been coming up to Benjamin and calling him baby. When you ask Titus what Benjamin's name is he says Baby. I was wondering if that is what he was going to call him the rest of Benjamin's life. Payton and Dylan came over to play with Titus while Deidra and I were talking, Titus was so excited. He would tell them "ome here" at one point he went and got them by the hand and kept saying "ome here" and point to his room. He LOVES having kids to play with!! Daniel told him how to say Punk today, so he would tell Dylan "ome on, unk". He is starting to talk a lot and so clearly some times. Tonight we found a sleeping bag in the closet and it was a small one for kids. Titus rolled around in it for a long time, but decided it was too warm to sleep in, so he fell alseep on the floor beside the sleeping bag. Have I said how much I love him?!
This last week as I was preparing for worship (reading James 3:1-12) I came across an interesting statement in a commontary that I read several times. It said It is better to fight a fire than to go around seeting new ones! It was like God was telling me I hade to solve a problem that I have been waiting for it to resovle or fix itself. I can't just talk about it, I have to actually adress this problem head on. I realize how much of a nonconfrontational person I am. As much as I want to be confrontational and I will say to myself or to my husband this is what I would do. I am a scaredy cat!! I want or wish people will read my mind and/or the problem will just fix itself. God has opened my eyes to the fact that I need to be more confrontational and truthfully honest in love, and I can with His help.
